La película fué filmada en los meses de agosto, septiembre y octubre de 2009 en locaciones de Saraguro, Ingapirca, Catamayo y exteriores de Loja. El equipo de producción de la película estuvo integrado por más de 15 personas, que trabajaron cerca de diez semanas de rodaje. Cuenta con un elenco de actores profesionales y no profesionales de Loja y Saraguro, entre ellos: José Gómez y Teresa Quizhpe.

Sinopsis

 

Se basa en dos historias paralelas, siendo la principal la de un Saraguro actual, que a través de sus visiones nos llevará a las antiguas conquistas de los Incas. Los datos históricos que se aportan están basados en estudios antropológicos de cómo se inició el Tahuantinsuyo hasta el momento en que el Sapa Inca Túpac Yupanqui mandó a una mita a ocupar el valle de Cusibamba, descubriendo así el por qué existe este pueblo que está entre Loja y Cuenca; considerado el pueblo más antiguo de América. Saraguro ha conservado sus tradiciones desde hace más de quinientos años, apenas teniendo pocos cambios.

 

Synopsis

It is based on two parallel stories, the main one being a current Saraguro, that through his visions take us to the achievements of the ancient Incas. Historical data are provided are based on anthropological studies of how Tahuantinsuyo started until the Sapa Inca Tupac Yupanqui sent to occupy a mita Cusibamba Valley, discovering why there is this people who are between Loja and Cuenca, considered the oldest town in America. Saraguro has preserved its traditions for more than five hundred years, just having a few changes.

For this film original locations were used to develop the majority of scenes, as the tradition in terms of costumes, locations, and world view are not lost. In the historical part is recreated some scenes, like the ancient Cuzco is the shot in the ruins of Ingapirca in the province of Cañar, and the cave where they came Pacaritambo Ayar brothers, which was recreated in the canton Catamayo. So too was made clothing and utensils, both the Incas and the Spanish since 1200 to 1534, the date of arrival of the conquistadores.

Using 3D animation technology we can go the Capac Inca Trail ñan or, knowing where Mitas crossed, from Urdaneta in Bolivia up to Cusibamba or Valley of Joy, which is now Saraguro. But above all we base our query on the worldview that had the Incas and who have bequeathed to today to Saraguros, and how modernity has changed their beliefs and lifestyles.
